Well, it's now May 2007. Time sure has flown by! I just posted a picture of my new pet, a cockatiel. He is a noisy critter, but company. I have sold my home and moved into an apartment. It's only a one bedroom but roomy enough for me..and my bird! I am on the 16th floor, so have a great view - especially at night with all the lights. I can even see the highway and the big city of Regina at night. I am waiting for a good thunderstorm so I can watch the lightning.
Yes, I sold my house in April. I had a hard time making that decision as the house had been home for about 58 years. It was something I had to do as I could no longer do the upkeep and yardwork. I found this suite and it is for adults age 55 and over, so there are no kids running the halls! LoL - just old ladies! It is nice though and I think I made the right decision. As a matter of fact, I KNOW I made the right decision. I feel quite at home here. I have a parking space for my car right near the front door, so don't have far to go. I am on the top floor, so it's all good.
I'm still on oxygen but feel I am improving each day, if only a little. One day I hope to be free of it and able to take another trip to my beloved United States. I have tentatively planned for September, but feel it will be next spring/early summer. Anyway, it is a goal for me to aim towards.
Not much new in my chatroom. It's become very quiet there as some have quit, but there are the odd newbies coming in, which is good. I miss some of them, and especially my very, very dear one that only manages to come in once in awhile as he is very busy. Anyway, the opping is going okay. It's funny to see all the various chatters in the different channels. Some very weird folks on irc to say the least! Anyway, that's it for now. Hope to remember to add to my blog more often! Oh, I can't have pets here, except for birds or fish, so had to give my dog away. This is the first time since I was a child that I haven't had a dog, and I do miss one around. Oh well, life goes on I guess.
